This picture shows people bathing in the hot thermal pools on the Hot Sands beach in the Coromandel area. Dig a hole in the sands and the water is VERY hot. It looks very crowded but the rest of the beach is deserted as just this spot has the hot thermal spring water.
Your photos are great and bring back lots of memories. Hot beach had far fewer people on when we were there in the winter. We had a thermal bath in a little shed near the beach as the tide was in and we couldn't dig a hole. Glad you are having such a wonderful time. Love C and P
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are having a great time. We take so much of these beautiful scenes and deserted beaches for granted. If you think the North Island is spectacular wait until you get to the South Island.It is amazing.
